The Chiefs defense has improved greatly since their first matchup against the Bills and I trust Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense to make just enough plays to get to the AFC Championship game. I think the Chiefs will get the Bills in rematch, but that would be the game I would like to watch the most in this scenario. The Packers very well might be the best team in the entire NFL, so I’m rolling with them over the Rams. He’ll have plenty of chances to get this playoff win as his career moves forward with Bill Belichick.

Mac Jones in his first playoff game is probably the game of the weekend, but going into Buffalo is a tall test for the rookie. The Cowboys have better quarterback play, so I’m giving them the edge here. The Cowboys and the 49ers should be a good game as well and we get a big time playoff matchup between Kyle Shanahan and Dan Quinn, the architect of the 2016 Falcons. The Rams over the Cardinals was a tough one for because I do like this Cardinals roster a lot, but I’m concerned with how they played down the stretch, so I’m rolling with the Rams in a home game. All of those teams are in a different stratosphere than their competition. The Chiefs beating the Steelers, Buccaneers over Eagles and Bengals taking down the Raiders feel like layup picks to me. This is pretty boring, but I’m rolling with the home teams for the first round of the playoffs.
